We need your support to fix the historical injustice done to us as workers in the social and community services sector. Our wages are
appalling, our skills are undervalued and finally Fair Work Australia has recognised that it is for gender reasons. Fair Work Australia also
agrees that workers in the public sector do the same or comparable work as us for significantly higher wages.

We believe our claim is a fair one; we want to be paid the same as the Queensland rates of pay, the wages Queensland community
workers won in their Equal Pay Case. We believed that the Government supported our efforts to achieve this - but as yet
your Government has refused to negotiate these wages.

The time for your Government to demonstrate their support for Equal Pay is now. We urge you to take action to ensure this support
becomes a reality.
