Have Your Say on 24 November 2007

18 October 2007

Finally we have a date for when Australia gets an opportunity to cast its verdict on who they believe is going to deliver a better deal for workers and their families and who has a better vision for the Australia in which our children and grandchildren will grow up in.

Whilst it is easy to be cynical about politics and politicians, how you vote in this election really does matter.

As a representative of workers and their families the ASU has been active in campaigning against the Howard Government's unfair industrial laws known as Work Choices. These laws have already disadvantaged many of the more vulnerable groups of workers in our society; if they are allowed to continue they will ultimately disadvantage even well organised workers such as members of the ASU.

We believe getting rid of Work Choices on its own is sufficient reason to get rid of the current Federal Government. However, it is not the only reason.

To visit the the ASU National Office Election Webpage; which I urge you to read, click here : Australian Federal Election 2007 and use the various links to ensure you are as well informed as possible on what is at stake when you vote on 24 November 2007.
