ASU National Office audited accounts, financial statements and operating report11 December 2007The Workplace Relations Act requires that the financial affairs of unions are checked and audited every 12 months to make sure union funds are administered properly and to detect any shortcomings. Unions are also required to prepare an operating report. The National Executive and the Branches of the ASU each conduct their own audit and prepare their own reports. Attached (see link below) is the full audited financial report and operating report of the National Executive for the financial year ending June 30, 2007. As you will see, the auditor declared that: "In our opinion: the accounts are properly drawn up so as to present fairly the financial position of the Union as at 30th June 2007 and its performance for the year ended on that date; and the accounts are in accordance with the provisions of the Workplace Relations Act 1996 and Australian Accounting Standards." A paper copy of the accounts, statements and auditor's report will be supplied free of charge to any member who so requests by writing to: Paul Slape Download File: ASU-SANT Ph: 08 83631322 Fax: 08 83632225 union@asu-sant.asn.au http://www.asu-sant.asn.au/ |
